CGB INSURANCE COMPANY: USDA Adjust The November 1 Haying And Grazing Date For Cover Crops On Prevented Plant Acres

CGB Insurance Company issued the following announcement on June 21.

Some much needed help is coming for farmers!

Farmers who planted cover crops on prevented plant acres will be permitted to hay, graze, or chop those fields starting September 1, which is two months earlier this year. The adjustment was made to help farmers who were prevented from planting because of flooding and excess rainfall this spring.
