Badgerland Financial Crop Insurance issued the following announcement on Feb. 11.

Compeer Financial is hosting a series of Home Construction Workshops across Minnesota and Wisconsin. These free workshops are designed to answer questions rural residents have about building and remodeling homes.

“Financing is the biggest barrier to fulfilling that dream of building your dream home in the country, and often people run into issues with traditional banks that don’t have rural experience,” said Chad McGlothlen, Director of Lending. “We want to help rural residents prepare for everything they need before taking the plunge.”

At the workshops, home mortgage specialists from Compeer Financial will share the ins and outs of the home construction process. They’ll cover property and home considerations, deciding how much you can afford, selecting a lender, working with contractors and transitioning from construction to permanent financing.

Compeer Financial will host workshops across Minnesota and Wisconsin this February. The schedule is as follows:
