International Ag Insurance Solutions issued the following announcement on Oct. 2.
Fall harvest is go-time for farmers around the Midwest and Plains working to get their row crops in the bin. It’s a time when farm safety is of utmost importance but often not given the priority it deserves. Harvest is time for additional caution, especially with more machinery sharing the road with drivers. With the COVID-19 pandemic in the background, farmers should be even more attentive than normal to doing what they can to sustain farm safety this fall, one expert says. That effort begins with good communication, especially when working the long hours typical of harvest and working with young, less-experienced operators. Get more farm safety reminders here.
