BADGERLAND FINANCIAL CROP INSURANCE: Compeer Financial Offers Scholarships to High School Seniors

Badgerland Financial Crop Insurance issued the following announcement on Jan. 7.

The Compeer Financial Fund for Rural America, Compeer Financial’s corporate giving program, is offering 120 scholarships to students this year. High school seniors pursuing a post-secondary education and will study an agricultural field or have a rural background are encouraged to apply between now and March 16.

Each scholarship recipient will receive $1,500 for educational tuition expenses. Qualified applicants must live in Compeer Financial’s 144-county territory and have a 3.0 GPA or higher. Recipients will be selected based on academic achievement, agricultural and community organization involvement and essays.

To date, the Fund has awarded 225 scholarships to graduating seniors, totaling $337,500

“It’s important to us to contribute to the future of agriculture in our communities,” said Karen Schieler, Senior Corporate Giving Specialist. “Our mission is to champion the hopes and dreams of rural America. We see a bright future for agriculture in these students.”

Students can find the scholarship application at compeer.com. Applications can be emailed to scholarships@compeer.com or submitted in person at a local Compeer Financial office. The deadline for applications is Monday, March 16.
