NATIONAL FARMERS: Farm organizations Will Band Together To Advocate For Proposals

National Farmers issued the following announcement on June 23.

Farm organizations across the country are banding together to advocate for proposals to stabilize dairy prices and slow the loss of family farms. National Farmers Organization has presented the Dairy Farm Structure Management program, which would benefit small and medium-sized producers.

Farmers and dairy industry stakeholders are invited to attend a Dairy Together Road Show event Thursday, June 27, at Springwood Organic Farm, 1143 Gap Road, Kinzers, Pennsylvania. Attendees will learn more about how to move forward on a plan for meaningful federal dairy policy reform.

The event, which will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with an optional 9:30 a.m. farm tour, is being hosted by the Pennsylvania Farmers Union and the Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture, with support from National Farmers Organization and the Wisconsin Farmers Union.

Similar events have been held this spring across the United States, including stops in New England, Michigan, Minnesota, New Mexico, California and the Rocky Mountain region.
