Global reinsurance company SCOR recently announced that Paris-Dauphine University professor Dylan Possamï has won the Award for Best Young Researcher in Finance and Insurance, sponsored by the SCOR Foundation for Science.

"There have been significant developments in risk and risk quantification research in recent years, to which Dylan Possamaï, a young researcher in finance, has made a noteworthy contribution,” said Chairman of the SCOR Foundation for Science and the European Institute of Finance André Levy-Lang. “The SCOR Foundation for Science is very happy to single this contribution out."

The award was presented at the European Institute of Finance’s 10th International Forum on Financial Risks. Possamaï earned the honor for his work on risk and its quantification. Paris-Dauphine University Vice-President Elyès Jouini, who is a member of the Institut Universitaire de France, chaired the selection jury.

“I am delighted that the SCOR group and its Foundation for Science are supporting scientific risk research and encouraging an increasing number of talented young people to devote their academic work to advancing our knowledge in this area," said SCOR Chairman and CEO Denis Kessler.
