Military Spouse magazine recently ranked Combined Insurance in the top five on its list of Military Spouse Friendly Employers in the $500 million to $1 billion category, the second year in a row that the company has earned that distinction.

"It is a great honor to be recognized for our military spouse hiring efforts again this year by Victory Media," said Combined Insurance Vice President of Sales Development and Military Programs Bob Wiedower, a 22-year veteran of the Marine Corps.

The magazine honors companies that are prominent hirers of active-duty military spouses, recognizing the way in which the companies acknowledge the challenges faced by those spouses and the unique skills they demonstrate in tackling them.

Combined Insurance also has a veteran recruiting program, launched in 2010. Military Spouse publisher Victory Media has also honored the company in G.I. Jobs magazine for its commitment to hiring veterans, through which the company plans to have more than 6,000 employees with military backgrounds by the end of 2018.

"Combined Insurance has been recognized as a top Military Friendly employer by the publisher's G.I. Jobs magazine for the past six years, which we are very proud of,” Wiedower said. “We are equally proud to support our military while they are serving our country, and providing career opportunities for military spouses is just one way we do this."
